The House Of David team was perhaps the most well-known of the many barnstorming baseball teams that made it's way across the US and Canada from the 1920s to the 1950s. Edmonton was a semi-regular stop for the team, and I've compiled articles and pictures thanks to The Journal and The Bulletin from their visits here in 1929 and 1948:

The House Of David team returned in 1948 to Edmonton to play games against Negro League dynasty and frequent barnstorming opponent the Kansas City Monarchs, managed by legend Cool Papa Bell:
