Hong Kong superstar Sammo Hung's 1988 film Paper Marriage was extensively shot in Edmonton; it features a rousing fight climax at the then-newish West Edmonton Mall, an opening sequence at Northlands horse racing track, and numerous shots around the city in all it's late 1980s glory:
