Via Gerd Albercht, This Super 8 film of a family's trip to Edmonton as well as Jasper and Banff is both fascinating and loads of fun. The Klondike Days Parade, Downtown, The Legislature, and The Valley Zoo all make an appearance in the first 8 minutes, with Banff and Jasper from minutes 8-16. The last 3 minutes are devoted to a crackin' party going on in what appears to be a rumpus room, with a good time had by all.
The narration is in German and as I don't speak the language any help is appreciated. The resolution of the film isn't quite as stunning as the Losie Family Home Movies of Edmonton from 1942 but this is more than worth a look for Edmonton History buffs:
