Along with The Gem, The Dreamland Theatre was an institution on Jasper Avenue East since it's opening on August 6, 1910. In 1938, The theatre underwent extensive renovations and reopened to the public on September 17, 1938:
The Dreamland continued to show first and second-run features until 1971, when it was permanently closed to films.
It was torn down in March-April 1979:
