via Curling Canada, this glorious colour film of the 1973 Macdonald Brier shows quick glimpses of Downtown in the first few minutes, but the real star of the film (other than the fantastic old-school curling, of course) is of Edmonton Gardens. One of the last big events at the old cow barn, you can practically soak in the atmosphere off the rafters of the then-60 year old arena during the film:
