via Reel Life/CanadaMotorSport, this vivid colour film of a road trip by auto to Banff, Calgary, and Edmonton in 1958 is mostly about Banff and Calgary. But there is an enticing 50 second or so piece of film starting at 12:45 of a part of Edmonton rarely seen in 1958; a shot starting roughly at 62 Avenue going north up 104th Street towards Whyte Avenue. A number of landmarks, including Twin Steers Restaurant, Turnbull Motors, Prudham Building Supplies, and the then-new Park Motel are shown. A very unexpected but welcome glimpse:
