A trio of brief, but vivid scenes of Downtown Edmonton in the late 60s by Kino Library, these vignettes centre around Jasper Ave between 103-105 Street and as always has treasures abound.
The first scene starts with a shot of Jack n Jill and it's fabulous carousel on the roof before going to a shot down Jasper Avenue and the B.F. Goodrich store and a peak of the Corona Hotel sign:
The second scene focuses on the the People's Jewellers sign with the Hudson's Bay store making an appearance:
The last scene starts with a shot east down Jasper Avenue with the iconic CJCA sign ontop of the Birks Building in the distance, with a closing shot of the Seven Seas revolving sign:
