Another great piece of history from the cdncountryvideo YouTube channel, Sun Country was a syndicated urban country music show taped at the CFRN-TV studios here in Edmonton from 1983-88 starring the venerable Ian Tyson and while the stage production (the "beer" in the mock-up saloon was actually ginger beer) was on the low-budget side, the guests and music was first-rate.
The is episode taped on November 14, 1983 features *Kathy* Lang and it's a really exciting embryonic look on how Kathy evolved into k.d.; the commanding voice and natural charisma is already there.
